Aluochier Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Direct Entry – AITAR Roster

Direct Entry to the AITAR Roster

For experienced adjudicators, arbitrators, and administrative decision makers. Bypass taught modules and qualify via portfolio assessment.

Start your direct entry application
What is direct entry? If you already have substantial experience in dispute resolution, you may apply to enter the Roster at Tier II or Tier III without completing the standard training modules. Your prior learning is assessed through a portfolio and written tasks.
★ Founding Tier B Cohort | Tier III Direct Entry

If you have received a Founding Tier B Cohort invitation, this is your pathway.

Founding members are admitted through Tier III direct entry under TPD 17/2026. The sole Assessor model applies. Founding members receive Named Founding Member status in the AITAR Digital Gazette, first-mover appointment priority across all AITAR, AISTAR, and AIETAR high-value matters, and participation in Programme governance. Apply using the online form (Pathway B | Direct Entry, Tier III) and include your invitation reference in Section D.

Eligibility thresholds

TierMinimum requirements
Tier IIPrior adjudicative or dispute resolution experience demonstrated through a CV, Schedule of Proceedings, and 5 specimen decisions. Competency mapping covers Modules 1–9 (Tier I and II competencies). Bridge modules prescribed for any identified gaps. Pass mark: 65% on all written assessment tasks.
Tier IIITier II eligibility + substantial senior adjudicative or arbitration experience demonstrated through a Schedule of Proceedings and 8 specimen decisions (sole or presiding). Competency mapping covers Modules 1–15. Bridge modules prescribed for any identified gaps.
Tier I Direct Entry (Foundation Certificate) is also available. No Schedule of Proceedings or specimen decisions are required. Tier I direct entry requires a CV and two professional references, and consists of written assessment tasks only (five tasks at 65% pass mark). It bypasses taught delivery of Modules 1–5. Eligibility is open to any person who can demonstrate sufficient familiarity with constitutional and administrative law to sit the assessments | no minimum years of practice applies.

Competency assessment

Your application is reviewed by a sole Assessor appointed by the Chief Adjudicator under TPD 17/2026. The Assessor maps your experience against the competency framework for the tier applied for. Where gaps are identified, targeted bridge modules are prescribed | you complete only the missing modules, not the entire tier. Once bridge modules are passed, direct entry is confirmed. The sole assessor model will transition to a three-person Assessment Panel when the Tier B pool reaches five members.

You will also complete written assessment tasks drawn from the standard Programme question banks:

Bridge modules

If the Assessor identifies gaps, a Gap Report (Form C) is issued prescribing specific bridge modules. You complete those modules through the standard Programme (self‑paced) and pass the assessment. You do not need to repeat the entire tier.
